Now is the time to start making plans for the biggest public health event of the year: Registration and housing for APHA’s 2024 Annual Meeting and Expo opens June 4.
To be held in Minneapolis from Sunday, Oct. 27, through Wednesday, Oct. 30, APHA 2024 will bring together researchers, public health advocates, scientists, community health workers, students, supporters and beyond. More than 12,000 people are expected for the event, which will be based at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
This year’s meeting theme is “Rebuilding Trust in Public Health and Science,” underscoring the grave risk to health posed by mistruths and mistrust. APHA 2024 sessions and events will stretch beyond the theme to encompass the full breadth of public health topics, from nationwide disease outbreaks to community programs.
At registration, participants can opt to make a donation to APHA’s Help Us Help Them campaign, which will benefit Dream of Wild Health, one of the longest continually operating organizations that supports American Indian health in the Twin Cities.
APHA 2024 will include panel and poster scientific sessions, roundtables, general sessions, business meetings, social hours and networking opportunities.
Annual Meeting-goers who register by the July 15 early-bird deadline can save up to $175. Discounted rates are available for students, early-career professionals and other APHA members.
