Leaders are looking at health inequalities and what changes in policy might do to reverse disparities. Michael Marmot, PhD, MPH, who chaired the World Health Organization’s Commission on Social Determinants of Health, spoke with APHA about what progress has been made and what work still needs to be done. Marmot, the director of the University College London’s Institute of Health Equity, will be a keynote speaker at the opening session of APHA’s 141st Annual Meeting on Nov. 3. ER -
