Addiction treatment
A coalition of groups in May announced a new free five-hour course for addiction treatment professionals. The course, created by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration-Health Resources and Services Administration Center for Integrated Health Solutions, the Addiction Technology Transfer Center Network and the Morehouse School of Medicine National Center for Primary Care, seeks to help addiction treatment professionals determine if working in a primary care setting is right for them. Children’s health
The American Academy of Pediatrics in May launched a Spanish-language version of its Healthychildren.org website. Healthychildren.org en Español addresses the health needs and issues that affect the Hispanic population in the United States.
