The American Medical Association in August released an updated version of the Health Workforce Mapper tool. The tool is a resource for health professionals who want to know the availability of health workers in specific geographic areas. A new feature of the tool now provides population health data on residents of the areas searched, such as smoking, alcohol use and quality of health care.
